– Delegates must pay the convention fee of $20.00 via RaiseTheMoney online payment services or make checks payable to Hawaii Republican Party and be sure to write “HRP 2021 CONVENTION” on the memo line. Checks must be received by no later than May 10, 2021 at 5:00pm at HRP Headquarters, 725 Kapiolani Blvd. #C-105, Honolulu, HI 96813.
The Hawaii Republican Party State Convention will be held on Saturday May 15, 2021 via live stream video and using ‘Election Runner’ e-mail link to vote. Only State Committee members, or their designees, speakers, candidates, and staff will attend in person on Oahu. See Convention Agenda and Rules at 2021 State Convention | GOP Hawaii, clicking on the labeled box for each.
The purpose of our convention this year is to elect State leaders for a two-year term, and to accept or reject Rules Amendments and Resolutions prepared, debated previously, and presented to the Convention by Standing Committee representatives elected by all Party members at their district caucus meetings. Delegates and alternates were elected at their precinct caucuses or appointed by their Precinct President or District Chair by May 5, 10 days prior to Convention.
State officers to be elected are the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and five Vice-Chairs. The candidate nomination period closed May 7th. There will be no nominations from the floor.
Delegates pay a $20.00 fee by May 10th, and use their own devices to view the live streamed Convention speakers and vote. A valid email provided at delegate or alternate registration is necessary to view and vote and cannot be corrected once the Convention has begun.

Candidates for office who provide literature will have a common distribution by email to paid delegates and alternates on May 12th, and have their literature also posted for viewing at 2021 State Convention | GOP Hawaii, click on the box titled “Candidate Literature.”
Rule amendments and Resolutions must be reviewed by delegates prior to Convention as the ballots will display only abbreviated titles and the voting period is only 20 minutes for each set. Each proposed Rule Amendment or Resolution has been previously composed, debated and proposed to the delegates by elected Representatives from District and Precinct Caucus meetings to which every Party member was invited. As at the 2020 State Convention, and the 2021 Honolulu County Convention, there will be no motions nor any debate in the Convention, just an up or down vote on each one.
